At The Train Station

Over bars of iron,

See the trains run,

Casting shadows

In the daylight;

But in deep night-time,

There are none.

Orange glow from waiting-room,

Hidden from the skies above,

Different surroundings-

Will you get back to the

One’s you love?

There's smells of cold,

Dripping rain too;

Puddles across the platform

Lie scattered, wet,

It drips deep,

Right into your shoes.

Your limbs feel frozen,

All stiff from work,

But you must stay,

To catch that last train;

Face going back,

To those who hurt.

The End
