The Sound of Nothing

My take on what's become of the world:

Teardrops of Moses

And whispers insistent,

Skin-tearing nettles

And hauntings persistent

A madman’s glad hacking

As the axe blade does sing,

These are a few of my favourite things

Dreams full of monsters

A man-eating poodle

Loud, mournful bells

Born deprived of a noodle

Wild dogs that run

As their tattered prey springs

These are a few of my favourite things

When the fog climbs,

When the sea shrinks,

When I’m feeling glad

I simply remember my favourite things, and then I just feel

Raving mad.

The End
