Mountains

Mountains rise from the land as you near.
They grow tall, green and white, trees and snow.
The stand in lines and in between them lies a huge canyon.
A canyon which falls so deep into the earth.
It is a knife wound in the land's skin.
But that is not important.
It is the mountains that hold the secrets.
Secrets so dark, so powerful, that merely knowing them would kill you.
These mountains are filled with treachery and treason and death.
It seeps from the cracks in their surface and into the sky.
The sky turns red and then there is nothing.
