Sinking ships

I made the mistake, to let you in

I let you see the deeper parts of me

Now I am empty-and alone

Tears fall patiently

Waiting for the impossible

Looking blindly

Into nothing my stare falls, and silence so taunting

Fears scorch into the blazing inferno

Of what once was pain free

Isolating myself from you

Here on bended knee

Rather suffer in quiet

Then face the reality

Into darkness my eyes fall, and all is gone

The sting reminds me it was real

The struggle inflames my sanity

Memories safely kept secret

No longer do I plea

It's like you never existed

at least that's what they'll see

Into the void my heart will stay, and I will remain invisible

The End
