A Kiss So Sweet

A year from now

I shall recall this black liquorish night

With stars like sherbet dots in the sky

A liar's candy lips smiled at me.

His eyes twinkled like honey glaze

A sugar rush to my heart.

Yet there was a hidden sour taste

Disguised under a kiss so sweet.

Now I wash your taste from my tongue

Reshelf your bitter sweet love

Continue my walk down life's aisle

Hoping for a more savourable companion.

The End
