Perfect Comprehension

A poem about how someone may see another in a positively different way to everyone else.

The mirror tells a different story
my eyes tell a different story to the mirror
the mirror tells a different story to the eyes alone.
For the mirror lies whilst telling truths
each blemish and each flaw stands out
stands out like a sore thumb
but the eyes can see something else
something perfect
something the world chooses to ignore
something beautiful that the world does not always recognise
something special.
For every mirror that follows the way of the world
someone has eyes to see differently.
