Black HeartMature

A story about a man who lives a parasitic relationship with a vampire, leaves her, realizes he still loves her, and inadvertently becomes a vampire and looses all of his feelings for her. Just a short series of poems.

That's a black heart you have.

Does it even beat?

Probably not, 'cause

you never seem to notice me.

The color of my blood

is your favorite kind.

You take from me

when I sleep in the night time.

That's the only thing you use me for.

Take my blood to keep you alive.

Does it matter that I'm almost dead?

Not to you, I was nothing

but your food source.

I can't take this,

say good-bye to me.

I'm done being used as your nourishment.

The End
