Palace I and II
Palace I (sunrise)
The white-washed walls
Shimmer in the rising sun,
As the palace comes alive.
Rays peek over the edges
Of pink-stained turrets.
There is nothing
More magical
Than the palace at sunrise,
Except maybe,
The palace at sunset.
Palace II (sunset)
Towers,
Slowly darkening.
The sun ducks down,
Hiding behind the sparkling
Rooms of the palace.
Voices die,
As the sun does.
The palace slips into darkness,
Waiting,
For the sunrise,
In this everlasting
Cycle.
