Oxygen
My lungs fill with air,
But I'm not breathing.
I'll talk to you all night
But I'm not really speaking
You look at me,
But are you seeing anything.
We'll hug goodbye.
But it's empty of all emotion
Because deep down I know.
I'll always need you,
But you'll never need me.
I hide it all from you
To protect you from truth.
And as time passes,
Along with our youth
You will see I was
Your miss right
Though you were blinded
By lust for miss nice.
I've waited for you,
But now the time has come,
Do you love me, can we be together at last?
"No, my love for you is in the past"
