Over The Fence

Please rate and critique

The power is shut down in the hood

but wild parties glow the sky across the bay.

We cannot live to survive.

We earn to survive and  yearn for life.

Pay cheques from the rich

give weekly stability to the poor

and the poor can save little for rainy days.

But, the rainy days come and the poor stay poor.

Children go to over or under funded schools

without a middle meeting ground.

And the grass over the fence is rich and green

and the grass over the fence is ignored.

The End
