^ Verses 8 - 14

Vision,

That the man sees,

Strives for it: needs the help,

Clasps the mystery and hopeful,

He pulls.

Emerge,

Comes the creature,

Slippery with mud skin,

A disguise of natural life,

Deformed.

Fearful,

Falls the weak man,

Harsh screeches fill the air,

Forth the wretched mammal lunges,

Horror.

Mutant,

Born of mistakes,

Survival through instinct,

Returns to the addiction: man

Still alive.

Hunger,

The mouth is found,

Jaws stretch open widest,

The teeth of mangled bone approach,

And chew.

It falls,

A detached leg,

Squirming through the squalor,

Retreats the prey from the greater,

Beastly.

Bleeding,

Infectious stump,

Darkness encloses it,

The monster whimpers: and it dies.

Silence.

The End
