Our Pasts, Your Reality

I walk into the past untouched,
what once was,
is now lost,
I don't know what to say,
who to blame,
all i know is there is a new future ahead of us,

The plants have overgrown,
making it a jungle in our own backyards,
the river widening,
washing away the paths we once took,
the footprints we once placed,

Thing which were once landmarks,
are now lust to the picture's eye,
now just becoming our memories,
which look more like dreams and desires,

The things that were onced beautiful,
bright as the sun
are now thorns to us,
dark and dangerous...

A new future is taking us,
I don't know where it is going,
I just know, i gotta hold on...

The End
