Only smoke remains.
Sit you lonely, sit you drowsy,
On the drugs the lord bestows thee,
For, In your life there's nothing more holy,
Than the romance that has thrown thee
On the tempests of the shore.
As you sit there in your chambers,
Among the dancing, dying embers,
Reminiscing about futures,
that exist only in the past.
All the hallways bring you ghostly tales,
When you dream, they may aswell be sails,
As nothing lifts your heart up,
Like a kiss or a cigar! Don't stop!
"I SEE THE DARKNESS IN YOU, I CAN SEE YOU
FOR WHAT YOU ARE! I KNOW WHAT YOU DO,
I SEE YOUR NAME IN EVERY STAR!
END MY LONELINESS AND ANCHOR!
SEE ME THROUGH THE SMOKE THAT'S IN YOUR HEART!"
And we may never yet depart...
Through the sorrow that still starts.
As your chambers fill with smoke,
Becoming high on a cigar!
Because you think it's a heavier blow.
And I have forever stolen your heart.
