Sweat drips down my face, creating streaks among the dirt

I lift my hands above my head, breathing hard

The sun beats on my neck, tanning my skin

Pretty soon I'll be as red as those hearts on hallmark cards

The concrete burns, my teeny weenie toes

Making me hop from block to block

I wish I didn't have to go so far

To go the thing I sought

Finally I'm there

The sun's rays give me a funny feeling

So I jump into the pool, and cool down from the heat

Knowing tomorrow I'll be peeling.

The End
