On The Prowl

Fur bristling, he watches the blue bird bop
It moves closer, hop after hop
He licks his lips, excitedly listening to the tweet
With just a touch of tuna, the bird will taste so sweet
The bird pecks at the seeds, unaware of the trick
The great cat springs, but he has gotten too thick
"Oh, well," he meows, watching it fly away
As he pats his fuzzy belly, he decides to wait until another day.

The End
