On The Edges Of Our Worlds

Someone who feels that their love is destructive to other people and so seeks to end their existence for the greater good

I love you

But I spread sadness like leprosy

and you'll never be free

I must fight and lose this war alone

Never resting, always in nightmares

We haunt you on the edges of our worlds

Never letting you sleep

We laugh at you walking into your dreams

Ready to crawl and creep

I don't even have the strength to hide

Or the courage to love

I'm being pulled this way and that

By hidden forces below and above

Never resting, always in nightmares

We haunt you from the edges of our worlds

Never letting you sleep

We laugh at you walking into your dreams

Ready to crawl and creep

I can only turn ever inward

I can only ever implode

A sad pitiful end to a sad, loveless existence

But in this final instant

I find death less glorious

Too late not to fall

Too late to be saved

Too late I figured out

That this abyss will not let me sleep

Now I know I'm condemned to become my demons

Haunting your dreams forever

On the edges of our worlds

The End
