All She Saw

She turned, tried to look back:
All she saw was the sinking sun.
She turned, tried to say goodbye:
All she saw was the fading light.

She looked, wanting to sing:
All she saw was a with'ring flow'r.
She looked, wanting to hum:
All she saw was the fallen leaf.

She cried, unable to see him:
All she saw was the years go by.
She cried, tired of being alone:
All she saw was the time passing.

The End
