On Love

My heart is beating so fast and  I don't want to do anything.
Not anything at all.
My throat is constricted and it's hard to swallow,
The pain is physical.

Why can't you be right here with me, you're so far away.
So far out of reach.
If I could sell everything I had to be with you,
Baby you know I would.

They can take me to see the world,
Or give me give me gold and jewels
I'd still not be happy without you.

Iron bands tighten around my chest
My bones are slowly crushed.
I can feel you pressing yourself against me
but you aren't there.

Why can't you be right here with me, you're so far away.
So far out of reach.
If I could sell everything I had to be with you,
Baby you know I would.

They can take me to see the world,
Or give me give me gold and jewels
I'd still not be happy without you.

My dreams aren't fancy, they aren't filled with flying people and dancing stars.
It's just me and you in the grass.
With your hand in my hair and you head on my chest,
That's my dream, nothing more nothing less.

The End
