Old Fashioned Romantic

I just want to relax in the early morning gloom
and wait for the world to end
I look at all the photographs and I am reminded
of how pretty you are

Because no one can replace the feeling of anxiety
not even a romance of promise
Still, all disasters will unfold with admirable defiance
Constant, unlike you

I just want to relax in the late evening gloom
and wait for your voice to soothe me
I loved the way your eyes reflect the sun
and reveal the misery within me

I just want to sleep
I just want to sleep
and dream of you
I just want to sleep
I just want to sleep
and dream of us

Without the hurtful doubts...

The End
