Old Age

Point of view if i were much older

I am the old sandwich you forgot last week..

my insides so brittle, bruised, and meek.

i have a certain smell..

i can’t describe it to well.

it smells like a farm or a barn,

as if i took a bath in yarn.

my eyes go a bit hazy,

i look like i’m crazy.

in fact i may be,

cause my mind imagines things i don’t actually see.

i spent all my life,

trying to make things right.

now all i want to do,

is spend some time with you.

but its already to late,

next time i shouldnt try and wait.

The ground you now see,

is my future home to be.

I can’t wait to pass,

and be 6 feet below the grass.

The End
