Of Ice, Tree & Hearth
The ice cracks
When someone throws a rock
The rock bounces three times
Leaving a wound in the lakes shell
Ice splitters lies around the wound
Water slowly sippers through the shell
And soon it will freeze again
Leaving only a scar
The bark cracks
When someone throws a stick
The stick rolls three yards
Leaving a wound in the tree’s shell
Bark slivers lies on the ground beneath
Resin slowly sippers through the shell
And soon it will solidify again
Leaving only a scar
The skin cracks
When someone throws a spear
The spear falls heavily down
Leaving only a wound in the deer’s shell
Loose hair lies in the yellow grass
Blood slowly sippers through the shell
And soon it will heal again
Leaving only a scar
The heart cracks
When someone throws a word
The words echoes countless times
Leaving a deep chasm in the minds void
Laughing is heard in the background
Tears slowly sippers through the mirrors
And soon it will mark
This soul awaken
