Buried

The only sound he makes is a loud roar,

As in his tiny cell away fades light,

With tears to cascade from his life before.

With every weakened squirm he takes up more,

Against his box with splintered fists they fight,

The only sound he makes is a loud roar.

For rescue and nought else could he implore,

He knew he was so far from any sight,

With tears to cascade from his life before.

His dying warmth swift flees from out his core,

So for future a candle to ignite,

The only sound he makes is a loud roar.

He yearned to dig for his life to restore,

But knew deep down that he was doomed outright,

With tears to cascade from his life before.

With little left to breathe he faces war,

But carries on and gasps with all his might,

The only sound he makes is a loud roar,

With tears to cascade from his life before.

The End
