Now It Ends

You look at me with those quivering lips,

Your eyes swollen red and pouring out lies.

Crocodile tears won't stop me this time.

With my bag in hand it's time to move on.

Slamming the door I am closing my past.

All those long years I let this go on,

Are forever forgotten as truth rises.

Where life will take me I haven't a clue,

But my future is brighter without you.

Chains that once bound me have fallen away.

And their loud smack to the ground drives you to pain.

Today is the day that I save myself,

And eternally break the hold you have over me.

So good bye and good luck on your future endeavors,

Because I'm done.

The End
