Oh Brother

Dusty paths and overgrown trees,

A whistle of words, flutter away.

Oh sister, you've got so much to see.

Oh brother, you've got so much to learn.

What is on this earth? you say.

What to understand?

Oh why? Hush, hush. Why, why, why?

Hush, hush.

Listen to the words, flutter away.

Step by step, tiptoeing steps,

Each of her feet muffled with a sock,

No one can hear.

A run through the house, a run down the street,

A run on the slippery floors,

A slide and a crash.

Oh brother,

They've got so much to learn.

Oh sister, you've got so much to see.

They'll learn before you know it.

They'll see how beautiful this world is,

How beautiful the smallest mistakes,

Can change, create,

A new question.

Hush, hush,

You've got so much to learn.

The End
