Not That I Blame You

Not that I blame you.

You just couldn’t love me

There was nothing you could do

It’s not that you didn’t know how to

More of couldn’t

Not that I blame you

As I fell without a clue

Thinking you’d be the best there would ever be

There was nothing you could do

Our once proud flame, now dulled in amber hue

Now I struggle with whether we were meant to be

Not that I blame you

I cried out to you

You just couldn’t hear my plea

There was nothing you could do

I’ll just have to make do

Because I want this to be

Not that I blame you

There was nothing you could do.

The End
