Not Anymore

I used to smile at the thought of you,
Giggle at your laugh
And squeal with delight when you
So much as walked me to class

Not anymore.

I used to stay up late with you
All texts and calls
And even in those silly messages,
I gave you my all

Not anymore.

I used to cook when you came over,
Make your favorite food
And all I expected in return
Was a simple 'I love you'

Not anymore.

I used to skip classes with you
Made my grades drop
But I still didn’t complain
Nor cry nor mope

Not anymore.

I used to think loved saved us all
Made us believe
In ourselves and the world;
That it’d never let me fall

Not anymore.

I used to think we were forever
And drew little hearts
With you + me
And little red darts

Not anymore.

I used to think I saved you,
Changed you;
I used to think that
I loved you

Not anymore.

The End
