Nostalgia

It’s almost like

A swelling balloon

That’s prickly all over

Expanding with each breath

Scratching at the edges

Of me and my memory

Missing you, that is

And only by telling

Myself it wasn’t

Going to work anyways

Does it prick a little hole

And provide temporary relief

And soon it starts again

Making me wonder

Does it feel the same to you?

The End
