No One Knows That Dark Side Of The Sun
Is love really the only thing
That pushes people forward?
Into the deep deep hollows
Of a tower forsaken?
Can one really know the world?
When he only lives there?
And never feels the love?
A life force beating toward him?
Can a man live without pain?
A sorrow that fills our minds
Like a child’s lullaby
Ringing, ringing, ringing
The bells do call us down
From the fiery slopes of ice
That shimmer in the midday moonlight
Always searching, always wanting
Some form of that feeling’s worth
No one can see us through
The gate of peace and noble tranquility
Only the eyes can take me in
Into the ghastly crevices of this land
Can we find eternal sunshine
Oh the sunshine gleams the brightest
In the night, when you're not looking
Looking onto the star sewn skies
Of a far off terror that meets the man
That man of kind and loving skin
Who plays the sitar
In the sweet summer heavens
Up, up, and still not reaching
Those forsaken places
of time and space
Where no one sleeps, no one hungers
For that true love, that me and you
