No Hope Lies
Moonlight soaks the empty path
from where I departed so long ago
Virgin snow upon a field of broken dreams
hides the tears from where you left me
for greener pastures
One ruby flower shudders in the icy breeze
deprived of a loving touch or even acceptance
in the garden of snowflake embrace
In shadows that resemble graves
resting is despair
No hope lies
because truth will scatter the raindrops
that imprison those
who curse sunlight
