No Escape

It's about when someone, tired of holding the burdens of the world decides to lash out at a life and the people that has made them suffer

It seems all we want to do is sleep

But begin to weep when the time to die beckons

Glory and love beyond and above

I've damaged my own world for too long

I lead myself to the black though I knew it was wrong

Where can I go but the abyss?

And there's no escape or winners in this game

When one man bears on his back all of the world's shames

Enlightenment suffocated and I have nothing left

I have forgotten the meaning of humanity

These tears feel cancerous in my eyes

Past a life but I know I've got to carry on living

Because I feel ashamed that I even cry

The world lashed out at me from the start

I lead myself to the black though it shattered my heart

Nowhere to go but to sleep forever

And there's no escape or winners in this game

When one man bears on his back all of the world's shames

Enlightenment suffocated and I have nothing left

I have forgotten the meaning of humanity

The wires of my consciousness begin to tighten and snap

My life washes away and anger reigns in it's place

Rage engulfs sorrow, magnified and terrible

I can't begin to recognise my face

And there's no escape or winners in this game

When one man bears on his back all of the world's shames

Enlightenment suffocated and I have nothing left

I have forgotten the meaning of humanity

The End
