Never Too Late To Save
The night was full of grace
And the evening more beautiful than I thought
All the best intentions laid down before you
Past caring, because I know how hard I fought
I told myself I couldn’t find joy in the evening light
I told myself it’s only an illusion
I thought I had all of the words, I thought I was right
But you changed everything that night
Only another payload of confusion
Is there anything else I could want now?
Is it too late to say that I was brave?
Because it was always waiting to happen
Because it’s never too late to be saved
Beauty embeds itself in my mind
Suddenly a future hell, converts to paradise
The kaleidoscope of disco lights in my eyes
Perspective drop-kicked and altered tonight
I told myself there was nothing but empty energy
I told myself it’s only another ploy
But everything I loved, laid out in front of me
Love redesigns the ending of the story
Yet again I’m living in confusion
Is there anything else I could want now?
Is it too late to say that I was brave?
Because it was always waiting to happen
Because it’s never too late to be saved
Baby it only gets easier to say
The words to show, how you made me feel today
Baby it only gets easier to stay
Because of the way you won my heart today
Is there anything else I could want now?
Is it too late to say that I was brave?
Because it was always waiting to happen
Because it’s never too late to be saved
