Never Speaking Truly

Brief work. Interpret at your will.

To bend the truth is to bend the light
A frightening plight indeed
I will not say I have not strayed
For that is far too kind of me.

Instead I'll say I was away
And in that you'll find no fault
But I will say it anyways
And know that you'll believe me.

But do not say that I will play
With whosoever comes my way
For that is lies and I will say
That you've said nothing for a while.

I have not lied I've done no wrong
Your words will only hurt me
But you my dear it's all your fault
For never speaking truly.

The End
