Never Forgotten

Poem I wrote when my grandfather passed away

Never forgotten

by

Kathleen Leeman

He was there from the beginning

Never far away

He picked us up when we were down

Loyal, night and day

Every person loved him dear

Not a bad word to be said

He'd give the shirt off of his back

Or the blankets off his bed

He'd do anything for anyone

Was there to make us smile

We'd always say that he was ours-

We'd keep him for a while

The time went by way too fast

We lost him all too soon

The man we all knew we could trust

We loved him to the moon

He didn't want us all to cry

But remember all his love

The memories will never die

As he watches from above

The End
