Never an End

Death
So much meaning in that one little word.
It signals an end
Nothing more to come.
But with every end comes a new beginning.
Without Death; there would be no life.
Without Life; there would be no death.
They are one and the same
Yet, the two are at eternal opposition,
Standing back-to-back at the ends of a circle
Seeing only the distance between them,
Never noticing the other standing right there.
Death is not evil. With Death comes peace.
It is Life that is evil, forever bringing pain and torment.
Yet we cling to this torture
Because it is what we know.
We are not afraid of Life, because with Life comes light.
There can be no light in Death
Until the two turn their heads
And realize how close they really are.

The End
