NeverMature

When certain events are slaves to repetition
it becomes unbearable to even pretend nothing is wrong
I have replayed the worst pain of my life
but without that anguish I wouldn’t have anything at all

So thank you for everything, I shall endure your apathy
and all the fucking times you decided I was second best
I’ll take all the blame because you won’t
I’ll never allow myself to be fooled again

I find the silence is just as comforting
as the lies you allowed me to believe
I am easily pushed to the back of your mind
and you’re just as easily a fixture in mine

But I should be used to this by now
it is not like it is the first time this has happened
We all have our cross’s to despair of
but you were just like the others

You watched me struggle
You watched me sink into this dying world

So thank you for everything, I shall endure your apathy
and all the fucking times you decided I was second best
I’ll take all the blame because you won’t
I’ll never allow myself to be fooled again

The End
