Freedom

We all want peace

But peace without war is a dream

And dreams are made to forget.

O, steady man, woman and child

Do not die for freedom

Live for freedom

And never let them know.

We all want unity

But unity is division in disguise.

O, steady man, woman and child

Be same and be different

And never let them know.

We all want justice

But law is made by man

Who does

What pleaseth him

And calls it holy

And makes it law.

O, steady man, woman and child

Be good and wicked

And never let them know.

We all want to have

And give and receive

But only the steady man, woman and child

Takes and returns

Takes and returns.

And never let’s them know.

We all want to be strong

But only by being weak

Shall we know what differs.

O, steady man, woman and child

Be strong and be weak

And never let them know.

For we all want love

But knowing not

What it is

We are blind

And grow sad.

O, steady man, woman and child

Love and hate

In peace and in war

In unity and not

In good and in evil

In pleasure and in pain

Be rich and be poor

Be strong and be weak

Live and be loved

Live and be hated

Die with honour

Die with shame

For you are an animal

And animals need freedom.

The End
