by definition, neither of us is what we were supposed to be.
i think we’ve spent most of our lives fighting to cram ourselves
into spaces not really meant for us and that’s why we’re so 
fragile - so unforgivably, abruptly, maddeningly, devastatingly fragile -
that whispers of danger send us rattling to the floor.
