Winter Poetry Tournament '10, Round 2.

Challenge: Write a poem of seven lines.

Do you ever notice me hanging on to your every word? (like it's the Gospel)
Do you ever see me watch the twinkle in your eyes? (little stars on Earth)
Do you ever observe me smile whenever you laugh? (melodious like an angel's song)
Do you ever notice me absorb every one of your lies? (like the preachings of God)

I know you'll say you do every one of these ('Me? Preposterous!' you'll announce),
I know I'll believe, like a tradition, those false words (Doubting religion?).

Love makes you me so blind.

The End
