The Tall Oak Tree

A place I go to find peace.

There’s this spot in the mountains, a place I love to be, as I sit myself down under the shade of this tall oak tree.

The sun dances among the leaves, casting rays upon my skin. The warmth fills my soul and washes away my sin.

I lay upon its trunk and let the memories flood my mind. I smile and laugh at these wonderful things I've come to find.

The worries of the world begin to wash away as all my past mistakes eventually begin to fade.

Slumber starts to seep in as my eyes begin to droop. I drift away to the sweet sounds of nature on their constant loop.

Now that I’m asleep, I no longer have to see. Everything is finally okay, underneath the shade of this tall oak tree.

The End
