My Own Storm

Hello there, Hurricane

It's nice to see you again.

Blowing through my soul

like a ghost in a house,

I try to find the strength

to stand against the wind,

but all I can do is

huddle in the darkness like a mouse.

When everything around me is

falling, crumbling down,

it's funny how you're

the only place that I feel safe.

And even though you cement my

feet and cause me to drown,

The aftermath is peace I feel

in the disaster of your wake.

The End
