My one and only Poem
On the black water, in the darkness of the night, there appeared on the horizon a far and distant light.
As I gazed upon it's brilliance, my thoughts flew homeward bound, to that little gold haired beauty I love in my home town.
How like the feeling in my heart was that golden sphere of light, how like the feeling in my throat each time I held her tight.
As I closed my eyes I heard her voice come softly 'cross the sea. My love will hold a light for you to guide you home to me.
