As She, Gnaw

I felt a change come down upon,

One night, beneath the pregnant moon,

I felt my bones a-tremble,

As I changed beneath the stars

I was no longer I; instead

She, the queen, the huntress, the howl of the night

Four paws and powerful jaws,

A thick mane and a driving hunger

I found my meal that night and when I wake

Each night after that fateful turning

Something in my soul is burning

A mem'ry of crunching bones among my teeth

The differences profound and strange,

The thing I do, the things I've done

As I, chew

As She, gnaw

The End
