My Lovely Summer Boy
My lovely, lovely summer boy
To you my heart would leap
Won’t you be my forever boy?
Cause I see your face when I’m asleep
Down that dark abyss I fell once,
Brought me nothing but strife
Drained me off all my essence
Then you came, gave meaning to life
Walked through together we did,
We, hand in hand
The little churchyard with sorrowing names forbid
Our love erased like sand.
