My little girl

The sun shines in the window

And rests upon your face

Your little eyes

Your little curls

A smile upon your face

A little yawn breaks the surface

Breaks the tranquillity

Your eyes slowly open

Just enough so you can see

You see me standing watching

Waiting for you to wake

Waiting for my little girl

To jump and dance and shake

The smile again

Lights up your face

That smile only for me

A little hug, a little kiss

A gift for your Mummy

You jump and bounce when you wake up

So full of love and joy

I watch as you bound around

No trips or falls to slow you down

My rough and tumble little bundle

My heart, my soul, my joy

The End
