Calamity in Rainbows

Something so beautiful,

With so many hues,

Comes after the storm,

When you think you’ve nothing left to lose.

It’s there sparkling,

Radiant in the sunshine,

A ray of colors parting the clouds,

Painting the sky in some grand design.

And yet it disintegrates,

Right before your eyes,

Leaving nothing but the sun,

That will continue to set and rise.

What we had was amazing,

Just like the rainbows.

Yet it fell apart, and why?

No one will ever know.

But do you blame me?

For wanting to hold on,

Refusing to let go?

I never wanted it to be gone.

The End
