Broken Window

Bright shards of shattered glass

Resting beneath a gaping hole

Over they ground they are scattered

Kingly having dismounted their throne

Each one crouching on the ground

Needing to defend their broken remains

Wind howls through the cracks in the shards of glass

In tears, the window cries of its losses

Never again will it shine, clear and new, beside the

Door that always stands open

Often I have come to view the

Window's broken remains

The End
