Morning Jam Session

My morning jam session.

 7 am every day,

My car stereo

Is perhaps my most prized possession.

Because what would happen to my day

Without Matchbox Twenty,

Switchfoot, We the Kings,

And even Relient K?

It’s like my own morning pep talk

Where the lyrics do the motivating

And throughout the day

Put a little more pep in my walk.

Some people might stop and stare

When I’m banging my head

And belting out every word

But me? I just don’t care.

Because it’s just me and the steering wheel

Going who knows where

And my morning jam session

Makes life that much more real.

The End
