If I Were a Vegetable

I laid here with you

And smoked out all day,

As I watched my aspirations

And dreams fade away

But I’m so relaxed,

As things dull down to gray

As I lie in your arms,

Trying to hear what you say

And if I were a vegetable,

I’d be happier, in a way,

Relaxed all the time,

Watching colors fade to gray

And I lie in your arms,

Watching my dreams fade away

Listening to your voice

As it fades away

Ahh, this is the life,

But I just fade…

That’s what I wanted, right?

To be a vegetable?

I wanted just to fade away…

The End
