Up, Up, and Away!

Although I knew I shouldn't,
What did it ever do to me?
I let it go and watched it fly,
Above the houses on my street.

It rose above the tallest trees,
It surpassed the squad of geese,
It continued to go up and up,
Past the cloudy fleece,

And once I couldn't see it,
I realized what I had done,
I released my only blue balloon,
Can I get another one?

The End
