The Slip of a Finger

A Slip of a finger

It fell to the ground

Shattering

Smashing

Glistening

A sharp shard of glass

Flew into the air

Stung the eyes of a young boy

Blinding

He could see no beauty

Became wretched

Rampage

Storming the earth

An angry flame burning

Deep within himself

The light he so loved was gone

Darkness prevailed

And so he cried

Angry tears of dispair

That could not be seen

Endless plots against the one

Who had held the silver mirror

Sparkling

Shining

And with a slip of a finger

Let it drop

The End
